Ages 8 weeks to 16 weeks

  • Start your new puppy off right by learning positive
solutions to normal puppy behavior such as chewing, jumping, mouthing, housetraining, and crate training.

  • Puppies also learn basic sits and downs, name, and how to prevent leash pulling. We also focus on handling and restraint as related to health needs in caring for your dog, such as: giving medications, trimming nails, grooming, etc.

  • We include numerous socialization opportunities to build good social skills with other dogs and practice real life skills like handling and grooming and much, much, more!

  • Each class has a different theme to desensitize puppies to new and novel stimuli. The 5 themes are Costume, Health, Sounds, Wheels and Obstacles.

  • This course focuses on one of the most important times in a puppy’s life: the socialization period.   This is only the beginning and as puppies graduate it is time to begin training for the next stage of their development by moving into the next course which is the Canine Companion Clicker Course.  These two courses go hand in hand both in complementing each other but also in setting the foundation for life.

Class Schedule:

  • This course is taught on a continiuous rotation to take advantage of the very important canine socialization period which ends at about 12-14 weeks of age. New students may start each week and rotate through all five theme classes. If you need to miss a class, simply let us know and attend the class missed the next time it rotates around again.
