Agility Instructor: Stacie Bowers

Stacie began her experience training dogs at Marsha Smith's Canine Workout Center in West Chester, PA where she and her Australian Shepherd, Cody, graduated Puppy Obedience, Basic Obedience, and Novice Rally classes, eventually leading her to Debbie Sharp's Agility Basics class. Stacie and Cody continued training with Debbie up through her Advanced Agility Maneuvers class which prepares handlers for competing successfully in agility trials. While training with her during her high school years, Stacie began competing in American Kennel Club trials around the east coast up through the AKC Open Agility level, earning both AKC Novice Agility (NA) and Novice Agility Jumpers (NAJ) titles with Cody along with volunteering at many other agility trials. After her first year at Purdue, she worked as a Caregiver and Daycamp Monitor at Wagsworth Manor Pet Resort in Malvern, PA where she also volunteered as a demonstrator for Julie O'Konski's Beginner’s Dog Agility class. Stacie and Cody also prepared for and passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test while at Wagsworth. Stacie's dog experience also includes holding the position of Animal Trainer for Garnet Valley High School's production of "Annie" as well as volunteering for Glen Highland Farm's Sweet Border Collie Rescue as a transporter. Stacie is currently a Playgroup Monitor at Klondike Canine Academy and studying Animal Agribusiness at Purdue University.
